Three type of electron-transporting materials, containing two pyridiylphenyl group linked with alkyl fluorene, binaphthyl, and spirofluorene, were synthesized. Their thermal and optoelectrochemical properties were affected by a type of a central group, and the alkyl fluorene centered derivative showed the highest crystalline property and delocalized π-conjugation. Organic light-emitting devices using these materials as an electron-transporting layer showed lower driving-voltages and high efficiencies, compared with those of the device with Alq3.
