Abstract
(1) Pharmacological effects of 3-methyl-pentyne-ol-3 on cats, rats, rabbits and toads were studied.
(2) 3-methyl-pentyne-ol-3 is a hypnotic drug with scarcely any side effects and very little toxic effect. Every method of administration, i.e. subcutaneous, oral, intra-peritoneal and rectal, is effective.
(3) 3-methyl-pentyne-ol-3 has no analgetic effect.
