Abstract
Superselective angiography is required to demonstrate the vascular anatomy, and this is really true with pelvic vascular system, which is quite complex because of superimposition.
In 1972, Mohri reported a new modification of the catheter tip moulding and some improvement of the catheter technique of the superselective angiography of the uterine artery.
In this article we present 26 cases of the superselective angiography with same technique. The catheter is moulded with two curves in the distal portion, the one is gently curved at 0.8-1.3cm from the catheter tip and the other is sharply curved at 12-13cm from the catheter tip. These two curves are not in the same plane, but the gentle curve is moulded so as to direct anteriorly when used in the catheterization.
With this technique we have got time-saving merit by the angiography and have demonstrated more details of each lesion. Proper differential diagnoses could be achieved in the most cases.
Cases of myoma uteri, myoma uteri with pregnancy and hydrosalpinx are presented.
