The paper deals with the synthesis and characterization (by chemical, spectral analysis and magnetic measurements) of [M(AO)LCl]2 complexes (MII=Ni, Pd, Pt; AOH=3-amino-1-prapanol; L = triphenil-phosphine). The product of the reaction of Pt(II) complex with a representative nucleobase of DNA chain, cis- [L2Pt(μ-1-MeCy(-H)]2Cl2 (1-MeCy=1-methylcytosine) dinuclear adduct, has been also isolated and characterized. This reaction can be a proof of a possible biological activity of these complexes similar will, that of phosphine analogues of Cisplatin.
