Coastal environment restoration is a date issue for an urban system restoration.Tokyo bay and Osaka bay are facilitated with a bay restoration action plan in 2003 and 2004 respectively, which is one of dense populated bay in eastern and western part of Japan. These plan are a part of an urban restoration action leaded by cabinet of Japan.
Osaka bay restoration plan has three major targets in aset goal i. e. 1) maintain a network through forests-river-sea, 2) achieving richbio-diversity, and 3) public participation for the processes. To achieving thesetargets, an adaptive management technique is needs to be applied.
A constructed tidal flat at Han-nan 2nd section, Osaka, Japan is used as a practical experiment case study site to facilitate the adaptive management for wetland restoration in an urban area.
