Modern ink jet printers are capable of generating small sized less than 5 picolitre drops. Recently researchers has developed high concentration of silver nanoparticles with low resistivity and can be cured at temperature as low as 150°C. They can be applied to substrates such as plastic film and glass plate. With the finer pitch of electronics components, ink jet printing offers better alternative as they are non-contact and could produce higher resolution conducting lines. This study explore the possibility of using ink jet printing to directly write electronic circuit with silver nanoparticles inks.
