Arrangement of Self-Moving Trays in Deskwork Support System

Abstract

In this study, we deal with issues related to the support that Attentive Workbench (AWB), a deskwork support system, delivers a necessary object to a user with a self-moving tray. In this paper, we propose the method for arranging the self-moving trays based on the user′s past action sequence. This is one of the approaches for accurate estimation of a necessary tray from the user′s pointing gesture. Using force-directed method, good placement, which is not moved very much from initial placement and decreases false estimations, can be obtained.
