Abstract
Recently, demands of the glass lenses with a high optical characteristic increased as the performance of the optical apparatus improved. It is necessary to use the molding method using precise ceramics molding dies, but neither grinding nor polishing in order to mass-produce the aspheric glass lenses. However, in the glass press molding, it is difficult to estimate the behavior of glass materials in the molding process because glass shows the viscoelastic behaviors unlike in the case of the general metal press molding. In this report, the behaviors of glass in the molding process were experimentally investigated on the different molding temperature and velocity conditions.
