A report on a tourism event initiated by local actors in historical urban area

Case of "Yame-Fukushima Shirakabe Gallrey (2009-2013)"

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to consider management systems of a tourism event initiated by local actors in historical urban area through a case study. This paper reports a case of “Yame-Fukushima Shirakabe Gallery (2009-2013)”, a tourism event initiated by local actors utilizing livelihood skills as their tourism resources held in Yame-Fukushima (Fukuoka). In conclusion, how local actors manage the event by themselves and the development process of the management system are showed.
