    The new survey manual for city planning basic survey was released in June, 2013. Dept. of Housing and Urban Planning, BRI has conducted the questionnaire to all municipalities that have the city planning area about the implementation status of city planning basic survey, and the impression of the new survey manual by the officer of city planning basic survey, etc. This questionnaire was carried out in July, 2014. The replies were obtained from 88% of municipalities. This paper is to report the simple totalization results of this questionnaire as a quick report.

    Act Concerning the Special Fiscal Measures for the Promotion of Collective Relocation for Disaster Prevention went into effect in December 1972 following the flood disaster that occurred in the Kyushu and Tohoku areas in 1972. Prior to 1972, disaster recovery policy was seen as rebuilding policy, however, the Act gave disaster recovery policy a new definition, which is build back better policy. This study examines the process of collective relocation of the impacted people in the Amakusa area in Kyushuu. Through literature review and interviews, this report studies the concerns between the impacted people and local government officers as well as the relocation issues over the 40 years following relocation.

    The purpose of this study is to consider management systems of a tourism event initiated by local actors in historical urban area through a case study. This paper reports a case of “Yame-Fukushima Shirakabe Gallery (2009-2013)”, a tourism event initiated by local actors utilizing livelihood skills as their tourism resources held in Yame-Fukushima (Fukuoka). In conclusion, how local actors manage the event by themselves and the development process of the management system are showed.

    Although "group work" was the purpose of having been practiced in movement of Y.M.C.A. and COS or settlement after the world war 1, from the first, and relieving the poor by many (urban problems being included) social problems, but it defines as what helps people so that they can be effectively coped with many problems of a community. It has the intention of treating any individuals and the whole group. It should be repeatedly carried out until it is not transient and any individuals and the whole group carry out and change in the community. In this paper I would like to propose the importance of employing with assessment using the evaluation element of Group Work method in a workshop which is held repeatedly.

    Yamate area in Yokohama is famous for its charm character. However, it is clarified that many traditional buildings have been demolished over the 20 years. Through policy review and questionnaire survey, we clarified there are gaps between policy contents and local consciousness. Local residents do not know the contents of policies enough. Based on the real situation, common platform should be produced which enable stakeholders to discuss and exchange information of this area.
