Abstract

The conceptualization of various difficulties related to urban planning has changed drastically. Moreover, differences exist in issues that are emphasized by regions. This study extracted keywords that have attracted attention in each era since 1952 from featured themes and the like recorded in the urban planning archives of Japan issued in 2016, and proposed a methodology related to spatiotemporal analysis of urban planning research. Together with characteristic keywords, we specifically clarified the spatial distribution. Results of analysis demonstrate that "Regional revitalization" efforts have shifted from rural areas to metropolitan areas over the years, with "public housing" and "NPO" sought as research, with social background such as earthquake disasters and aging.
