A lot of bicycles parked outside the bicycle parking space affect road safety and pedestrian’s accessibility. One of the reasons is new types of bicycle sharing service. Dockless bicycle sharing service has been expanding rapidly since 2016. Since available bicycles are parked in the public space, users can rent a bicycle anywhere. The problem is that the service is operated without the approval of Copenhagen municipality. To solve the problem, the administrator of Copenhagen created a guideline that valid from 2020. The conceptualization of various difficulties related to urban planning has changed drastically. Moreover, differences exist in issues that are emphasized by regions. This study extracted keywords that have attracted attention in each era since 1952 from featured themes and the like recorded in the urban planning archives of Japan issued in 2016, and proposed a methodology related to spatiotemporal analysis of urban planning research. Together with characteristic keywords, we specifically clarified the spatial distribution. Results of analysis demonstrate that "Regional revitalization" efforts have shifted from rural areas to metropolitan areas over the years, with "public housing" and "NPO" sought as research, with social background such as earthquake disasters and aging.

This report is a practical report applying the workshop method in consolidating public comments on the formulation of comprehensive plans of local governments. The comprehensive plan is positioned as an upper-level plan among the various plans formulated by local governments. Therefore, there are many general themes, and the amount is very large. To focus on the discussion, at first, the workshop member voted for several policies that they were interested in. Next, focusing on the themes that had a lot of scoring points, they summarized opinions and ideas by utilizing the biaxial chart. Finally, a series of achievements was shared throughout the presentation. Very diverse achievements were demonstrated. Among them, the same policy was chosen for the two groups, but the deliverables in the biaxial charts were largely different. In the future, it is necessary to devise measures to extract policy themes and how to share information among groups. Based on this finding, we would like to improve the planning and operation method.

Early finding and intervention of problematic situations is an essential aspect of town planning in the era of low birthrates and aging populations. In prior research, the authors demonstrated the fact that residents in Kaifu-Town, the area with low suicide incidence had significantly higher help-seeking capabilities. This study evaluates the hypothesis that a community's space structure influences the thinking process and behavior patterns of residents by focusing on the alleys in the community. The alley area extraction method was formulated, and after confirming the method's consistency rate in the city, used to calculate the percentage of alleys in Kaifu and neighboring areas. Kaifu was determined to have the highest rate of alleys. In this town, even the elderly move around on foot, chat with each other at benches placed on the alleys, and experience daily information exchange at public laundry-drying space. Issues faced by residents and the community are shared without specific intention, but this possibly promotes intervention on problematic situations.
