This article reports the results of a web survey on citizen’s attitude towards CCTV installed in public places, comparing with the results of a survey conducted 11 years ago. While expectations to reduce fear and support criminal investigation increased, those to reduce crime decreased. Though anxiety about privacy invasion decreased, there was still considerable percentage of citizens who opposed to CCTV installation by neighbors in the immediate vicinity.
