Abstract

In recent years, ADVUS(Automated Driving Vehicles with Utility Services) which are automated driving vehicles equipped with urban functions has been developed. Since ADVUS can supply urban functions flexibly with no people, it is expected to improve the convenience of everyday life. However, if the regional characteristics are not taken into consideration, ADVUS may result in the closure of fixed facilities. Therefore, this study proposes to introduce ADVUS for the purpose of "corresponding to the lack of urban functions that occurs when the population changes", and extracted the corresponding areas from municipalities nationwide. As a result, municipalities and rural areas with particularly high population decline rates should introduce ADVUS. In addition, in population growth areas, bed towns near metropolis and municipalities where new infrastructure was maintained should introduce ADVUS.
