Abstract

This paper aims at finding causes of anti-nursery school, focusing on physical condition such as road width, numbers of parks, distance to park, numbers of elderly people, and zoning type. We collected those data of not only the nursery, which neighbors opposed, but those of not opposed, and applied a liner discriminant analysis. We found that some features of the nursery school where the opposition movement occurred: 1) there are few nurseries near the nursery school to be planned to locate., 2) the distance to a nearby park or kindergarten is long, 3) there are many local children and few elderly people, and 4) the road width is narrow.
