Characteristics and Issues of the Three Systems Related to the "Special Exception System of the Parking Law" for Walkable Cities

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to clarify the characteristics and issues of the "Special Exception System for Parking Laws" by organizing the application status of the entities, purposes, and maintenance measures of each municipality that has introduced the three systems related to the "Special Exception System for Parking Laws". Based on the interview survey, the research will organize the formulation process of each of the three systems, the entities responsible for planning and operation, the objectives of formulation, and the means of maintenance, and clarify the characteristics and issues of each system. The report then compares the three systems and suggests future parking consolidation for Walkable Cities.
