To efficiently introduce the mobility as a service (MaaS) system in Japanese local areas, the study analyzed the geographical relationship between tourist destination accumulation places and accommodation accumulation places using a 5 × 5 filtering method in Muroto Area, Koshi Prefecture, Japan as a case study. The result clearly indicated that the correlation coefficient between the two places was relatively low (0.041). However, it is also suggested that the score of the accommodation accumulation places is comparable with that of destination accumulation places. Therefore, this study proposes that a MaaS plan in Japanese local areas should consider such characteristics of the geographical relationship.
