Because Kyoto city’s highly urbanized area is in Kamo river’s inundation area, it is of urgent necessity to make and be officially announced Kamo river’s flood projection map.
In this study, the one dimensional flow inundation model in which rivers, streets and blocks are treated as channel networks of nodes and links has been developed, and the inundation process in a highly urbanized area is simulated to make Kamo river’s flood projection map.
In this paper, a method making a flood projection map of a highly urbanized area using the one dimensional inundation flow model has been proposed based on the study of the Kamo river’s case.
