「N+1」ダムによる水資源開発ダム群の長寿命化検討

In the upper Kizu river basin, five water resources development dams have been constructed. In these dams, reservoir sedimentation causes storage capacity losses. It will be necessary to secure these water resources based on reasonable reservoir maintenance works for a super long term use in the future. It is, therefore, necessary to plan and to carry out efficient and economically feasible reservoir sedimentation management.

In this paper, we study on sustainable management of dam reservoir group for water resources development.As the result, we showed the advantage of dry excavation with the periodical reservoir emptying operation by turns that is enabled by N+1 dam system.
