"Technical Standards for River Works: practical guideline for Methods of Investigation (TSRW-MI)" defines the standards of investigation methods for planning, design and maintenance at rivers, coasts and Sabo area. The new TSRW-MI is in the process of revision for the first time since 1997. This paper mentions the points of revision and outline of each chapter. The new TSRW-MI aims to include new technical development, to formulate a system of technical standards on rivers under TSRM-MI, and to enrich the integrated description stretching over chapters. In addition the paper describes the perspective of river technology.
