The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of accident scene of victims caused by recent heavy rainfall disaster in Japan. We have constructed database of victims by heavy rainfall disaster from 2004 to 2014 in Japan. 712 persons were killed by heavy rainfall disaster from 2004 to 2014. Latitude and longitude was estimated from address of accident scene based on literature research and field survey. Digital national land information was used as data of the sediment disaster hazard area and the flood-assumed area. 87% of the accident scenes caused by sediment disaster were located in the sediment disaster hazard area. 45% of the accident scenes caused by flood disaster were located in the inundation hazardous area. Seven out of eight victims were killed near these hazard areas in the September 2015 heavy rainfall disaster in the Kanto and Tohoku districts. Hazard area information is not a perfect thing, but there is the reliability enough. Understanding for hazard map information is important for the disaster prevention.
