Abstract
In this study, the characteristics of external collaboration in school disaster preparedness education were clarified. As a result, many school disaster preparedness education are conducted in cooperation with the local community. The contents of school disaster preparedness education in collaboration with the community can be classified into three major categories: 1) collaboration between the school and the community as a field, 2) collaboration between the school and the community as a subject, and 3) collaboration to spread the content of school disaster preparedness education to families and local communities. As a form of external collaboration in school disaster preparedness education, this study focused on collaboration to ripple the content of school disaster preparedness education to families and local communities and clarified its elements. As a result, this study is able to interpret realization, collaboration, and transmission as the three elements necessary to promote school disaster preparedness education to ripple to families and local communities. Based on these results, this study pointed out the necessity to promote school disaster preparedness education that incorporates these three elements to ripple to families and local communities.
