Abstract
The method of GPS carrier-phase kinematic positioning provides the precise locations of moving objects. GPS carrier waves are transmitted by two frequency bands; L1 and L2 bands. In Japan, presently we can only use the L1 band for the commercial purpose. Recently, however, major GPS receivers can also use the L2 band. Further, due to the Galileo in EU, and the modernization of GPS in US, many GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) will be available in the near future, which provide more multi-frequency bands such that highly precise positioning will be achieved. In this paper, we present a GPS/GNSS kinematic positioning algorithm of utilizing for multi-frequency, and also show the positioning accuracy comparatively based on L1 only, and L1-L2 kinematic algorithms by using the real GPS data.
