Abstract
An interface between different physical states such as water and ice is called a phase boundary. The phase boundary is generally nonequilibrium state and the behavior depends on states of outer fields such as temperature, pressure and magnetic field. In material science, however, there is the case that the motion of the phase boundary is independent of states of such outer fields. The behavior of the grain boundary in the annealing of metal corresponds to the case. In this paper, consider the case that the motion of the phase boundaryis independent of the outer fields and taking the fluctuation of the behavior of the boundary into consideration, we analyze the behavior of the phase boundary by stochastic level set methods. Furthermore, we study the influence of the noise on the motion of the phase boundary by simulations.
