Abstract
This study deals with proactive scheduling approach in which dummy jobs are inserted into a schedule in order to absorb impacts of uncertain events such as urgent jobs, machine breakdowns, and so on. This paper extends our previous work and proposes some simple rules in order to assign dummy jobs whose amount is previously determined into a schedule. Some computational experiments demonstrate that proposed rules areeffective as dummy jobs insertion by comparing them with predictable scheduling rules.
