Self-participation grid service using surplus resource of Clients

Abstract

In the current grid service, huge calculation resource is prepared to use the resource and execute big calculation according to the user request. We present a grid service in which not only computing resources at server side but also surplus computing resources at client side can be utilized in the grid environment. We call this service "Self-participation grid service", which aims effective use and cost reduction. We compared evaluation between proposed service and conventional service.
