To visualize DEA efficient frontier, this paper proposes a technique which combines data envelop analysis and Fuzzy Principal Component Analysis(FPCA). Then the former works for evaluating the performance of DMUs and shows the improvement direction and the latter works for positioning DMUs with adding weight in two-dimension graph. And we have verified the availability of the proposed technique for professional baseball data.

Aimed at the establishment of Genetic Programming(GP)-based emergent systems design schemes, we have proposed a new framework of GP that can resolve one of the critical problems in GP i.e. the problem of explosive increase of complex individuals in the population. In this article, we discuss the potentials and limitations of the proposed framework through its application to the two-dimensional hockey game.

In conventional genetic programming (GP) schemes, it has not been attempted to design an autonomous agent with internal states, which makes difficult to apply those schemes to non-Markovian tasks where the sensory inputs are ambiguous. We propose a new GP scheme that evolves an autonomous agent with internal states needed to appropriately perform non-Markovian tasks. The potentials and limitations of the proposed scheme are discussed through its application to several non-Markovian tasks.

The generation alternation model employed by one of the best neuroevolution methods, NEAT, has a drawback; it proceeds without intensively searching neighbors of parent individuals and hence it often fails in identifying solutions with minimal topologies. We propose an alternative for the model and discuss its effectiveness through the application to several non-Markovian tasks.

An adaptive resource allocation control is proposed for the trade-off between the energy consumption and Quality of Service(QoS) with guaranteeing fairness of QoS in real-time systems.
By using an optimization control of the total clock cycles and fair QoS control, the proposed method can achieve an optimal fair resource allocation even if the relationship between resource requirement and QoS of each task is not known precisely.

We investigate a transporting system using the intelligent parts,
to send a physical functional object to a remote place by a
computer network.
The procedures of this transporting system consist of extracting all information from the object, sending the information to the remote place, and building the identical object using the information and other intelligent parts at the remote place. We show the intelligent parts that are components of the object, a way of extracting all information from the object,

In real-time systems, it is an important issue to reduce power consumption with avoiding overload conditions. In this presentation, the multiobjective optimization problem which determines the clock frequencies and tasks' period is formulated for trade-off of the power consumption and QoS levels under fairness of QoS levels based on the elastic task model and its optimal solution is calculated.

We consider a verification problem of arbiter mechanism. We use the model checking function of SCADE, where a system and its environment are modeled by a synchronous language and specifications are given by properties. As an example, we consider an auto-cruise system consisting of multiple ECU's and investigate what kind of property is verifiable.

Model-based development (MBD) is expected to improve the reliability of automotive control systems and their development processes. For the MBD, one needs to model control plants and controllers that are often built with a microprocessor. This paper reports a co-simulation of plant and microprocessor models, and analyzes system behaviors by executing object codes on the virtual microprocessor.
