Abstract
We propose a new sensing mechanism referred to insect's feeler for a small legged-type rescue robot. It is important for such as a robot to recognize the state on the surface of toles and pebbles. Because without active sensing as patting or beating onto the ground, it cannot move on the surface of rubble.
