Abstract
In recent years, with changes in clothing life, commercially available maternity wear emphasizes appearance over changes in body shape during pregnancy and most maternity wear can be worn both before and after childbirth. Since manufacturers prioritize design, it became clear to the author that there are problems with safety and comfort, such as size, material, and functionality. In order to design safe and comfortable clothing during pregnancy, the author analyzed the patterns of maternity wear after rating each for wearability. The purpose of this paper is to clarify dimension, size, and configuration issues. In addition, as size notation and standards vary depending on the manufacturer, a size analysis on commercially available maternity wear will also be given.
