The purpose of this study is to develop a model for outlet water temperature of temperature-stratified thermal storage tank. Experiments were conducted and it is found that the range in tank that influences to outflow water temperature is wider than the sectional area of outlet pipe. A model for outlet water temperature of thermal storage tank had been based on the assumption that flow velocity in the sectional area of outlet pipe is uniform. The results, which were calculated by using this model on the assumption that the diameter of outlet pipe is larger than actual size, agree well with the experimental results.
