This research investigated the effect of inlet geometry such as the shape and size, on parameters of mixing model such as initial depth of complete mixing region, of temperature-stratified thermal energy storage tank. Four kinds of inlet type were examined; pipe, slot, disk, and multi-hole inlet types. And different kinds of identification method of the model parameters were also conducted. This result will help designers to study the inlet geometry and promote the spread of temperature-stratified thermal energy storage tank.
