Abstract
In this paper, the authors develop the formula of the mean convective heat transfer coefficient (α_c) of a human body (α^^-_c) based on CFD analysis. This formula can evaluate both influences of velocity and turbulent intensity of the wind on α^^-_c . In addition, the authors calculate the distribution of α^^-_c in an urban canyon space. The authors compare the developed convective heat transfer coefficient model with the conventional model in the flow field at the urban canyon space. Distinct differences between these models are observed. Thus, the effectiveness of this formula developed here is well clarified.
