In coupling CFD with multizone airflow network two kinds of boundary conditions can be exchanged between them. The multizone model can give pressure boundary or velocity boundary conditions to CFD. This study analyzes in detail the effects of each of the boundary types on the CFD domain, and compares them with a full CFD simulation without coupling. It was found that pressure boundary conditions can predict the trend of the flow but generally over-predict it. Velocity boundary conditions are more accurate to use when large openings are being modeled, but they cannot predict accurately the flow near the large openings.
