Micro plastics pollution is becoming a global issue and many data of that have been measured in foreign countries. In Japan some data on the micro plastics pollution of rivers or sea water have been reported, however, there are few data on the PET bottle or tap water. In order to clarify the present situation of the pollution on the tap water in Japan, we measured the number of micro plastics containing in the tap water collected at multiple places in the metropolitan area.
