This study proposes to deal with a set of related problems connecting with the development of mineral resources in South East Asia.
The main aim of this study is to provid a basis for policy conciderations not only from the point of technical background but also from economic, social and political air circumustances.
The study lays two important and main standpoints to discuss all through the thesis. One is the evaluation of the provable future impact of the rapid industrial growth of Japan and the other is rapid undergoing historical changes of political, social and economic structures in South East Asian Countries.
Chapter 2-4 deal with (a) the fabulous growth of Japanese industry during the past decade creating accessible and stable market for South East Aisa minerals (b) general concideration and criticisum to the traditional and no-longer realistic economic development theories on the under developed countries.(c) the fundmental political, social and economic changes occured in South East Asia since World War II which broadly affect the development of mineral resources.
And chapter 5-7, deal with
a) Basic factors relating with mining and mineral resources development.
b) Concideration of necessary policies and conditions required for mining: development organization in South East Asian Countries.
c) Outlining the basic conception involved in the proposed idea of “The organization of International Development Corporation” which conceivably include U.S.A. and Western Countries as well as Japanand South East Asian Countries in order to mobilize the Necessary Capital and skilled technicians for directing and accelerating the development of mineral resources in South East Asia.
