The fault displacements accompanied by relative rotation of the fault walls, cause the variations of the strike and the dip of veins or seams. Among the variations, the direction of the variable strike are shown by the sign of f' (O) =-cosθsinαcotβ+cosα.
The sign of f' (O), however, is very often positive. Namely, the probability of the positive sign is 81.05% and the negative sign is only 18.95%.
These facts are ascertained by statistic results of many observations.
These characteristics can be applied for the surveying of wall movements in geological structure.
