Vibro-tactile displays by using vibration motors are expected to be useful for multi-channel, distributed information display for whole body, as they are easy to handle. We examined if we can display characters using only 3 by 3 tactor matrix, by making use of the apparent motion of the stimulating point. Our preliminary observation showed that we can possibly reduce the number of stimulating points for a specific application.
