Chemotactic activity of various cytokines and melanoma supanatant was investigated on lymphocytes and neutrophils. TNF-alpha showed chemotactic activity on both lymphocyte and neutrophils. On the other hand, IFN-alpha, IFN-beta, IFN-gamma, IL-1 and IL-2 showed no chemotactic activity on both lymphocytes and neutrophils. All four supernatant obtained from different melanoma cell lines showed chemotactic activity on lymphocyte. Three of four melanoma supernatant showed chemotactic activity on neutrophils. TNF-alpha treatment of melanoma cells increased chemotactic activity of supernatant on neutrophils.
