Abstract
When discussing influences of cultural background to the project management, cultures are often categorized into high context ad low context recently. On this paper, the authors describe the characteristics of the each culture. Authors also point out the important points when applying PMBOK Guide, developed under U.S. high context culture, to Japan's low context environment. Authors also describe the differences in action patterns in the two cultures.
