The accuracy of the estimate of work influences the success or failure of the project. This present study proposes the technique for retrieving a similar project by using the code clone as support of the estimate of remaining work. The code clone indicates a mutually corresponding or similar code splinter that exists in the source code. Recently, the code clone is actively researched. The present study experimented on the similar project retrieval for the software project of open source.
