Abstract
The number of projects implementing in enterprise are increasing year by year and the success or failure of projects impacts to the business directly. The measurement tools to check the level of organizational project management maturity are coming important to improve the operation efficiency. This paper proposes a new project management maturity model to measure and improve the level of operation efficiency. The proposed maturity model was composed of two kind of management area having five maturity levels. One is project management implementation maturity and another is organizational environmental management maturity. The benchmarking study by means of the proposed maturity model was made for 34 Japanese companies across industries and key findings to suggest the improvement of operation efficiency were come out.
