Abstract

This paper investigates the "Inactivity" state of the network society and its causes through a philosophical analysis of "Boredom" in the COVID-19 pandemic. The current "Boredom" is a result of communication failure. According to the Actor-Network Theory (ANT), which considers modern society as an aggregate of actors, each actor’s relationship with each other forms a network society, and thus "Boredom" can be regarded as a state of "Inactivity" in society. The state of "Inactivity" arises from the contradiction between actors who exist in relation to others and actors who must exist on their own.
