Local broadcasters' responsiblilities for disaster reporting have been in the midst of major changes in the surrounding environment, according to the declining population , away youth from TV and radio, and the rise of SNS. It has also been pointed out that there are changes such as the widespread use of online media. We will discuss the new role of local broadcasting stations in the event of a disaster, including the Nankai Trough earthquake, whose possibility of occurrence within the next 30 years is increasing to 70-80%, through interviews, and reviews of previous studies.
