We will show synthesis of square shape graphene with a carbon segregation on the Ni(110) surface. Morphology and thickness of graphene were analyzed by scanning Auger microscopy. Scanning kelvin probe force microscopy and scanning helium ion microscopy show that the graphene is quasi-free standing on the surface of substrate. We will also discuss ultra-high strain in the graphene flakes and mechanism of their growth in the presentation.
