In cold and snow zone, the effective thickness of the RC slab tends to decrease reducing its durability against fatigue due to scaling and/or gravel caused by frost damage on the slab upper surface. Some approaches for the slab's life extension with the reinforcement of the slab lower side are taken into consideration in order to control the deterioration with frost damage by means of removal of the damaged parts on the slab upper surface, restoration of the slab section and waterproofing finish. To date some methods of construction using various kinds of materials have been examined for strengthening of the lower side, to which CFRP has been mainly applied. Therefore, in this study, we examined the fatigue durability conducting the wheel load running test of the RC slab reinforced by the method of construction using two CFRP sheet materials that have different material properties. Consequently, significant effect on the life extension has been observed in both cases, while there is difference in the effect of reinforcement between the two CFRP material properties.
