The study examines to estimate a dynamic debris flow load acted on a steel open Sabo dam. An experimental device was proposed to confirm the overturning limit that is one of structure stability calculations in current design of Sabo dam. If the device exceeds a certain threshold, the dam can overturn at the same time as the load is measured. As for the experimental results, the distribution of debris flow load was arranged in each height direction, and the dynamic load distribution of debris flow was obtained. At last, compared with the dynamic load distribution an experiment and the design load distribution, the debris flow load distribution model is proposed for dynamic analysis load model.
