Many bridges across Kuma river were flowed out or damaged because of heavy rain on July 2020. Five undamaged bridges and four temporary bridges are possible. however, these are half of the total number of bridges. A cause of the disaster is higherthan expected rain, so beyond expectations should be considered at bridge development in the future. More detailed failure cause of these bridges are discussed and additional countermeasures in order to protect bridges and road networks are proposed in this report.
