This report compares data measured by different vibration meters at the Musota Aqueduct Bridge, and examines a method for detecting anormal vibrations using the minimum number of measurement points necessary. Arch-type aqueduct bridges have natural frequencies and natural modes determined by the mass and stiffness of their structure. By placing vibration meters at appropriate locations, it is possible to confirm whether the vibration characteristics align with those of a healthy structure. The report demonstrates a comparison between the vibration characteristics of the bridge which exhibited abnormalities, and the repaired bridge. It also shows that even with a single inexpensive accelerometer using a moving measurement method, abnormalities in lower-order modes can be detected.
