INFLUENCE OF CHEMICAL COMPOSITION ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SHOWA ROLLED STEEL

Abstract

An approximate solution for a formula giving tensil strength in terms of chemical composition was presented, and empirical formulae for Showa rolled steel were introduced in the solution. These were compared with other formulae given by previous authors. Then the characteristic properties of Showa rolled steel were discussed.
