The sensitivity of the solid-phase radioimmunoassay (RIA) for detecting Australia (Au) antigen, which was introduced by Abbott Laboratories as Ausria-125 kit, was compared with that of other assay methods using the standard mixture of human sera containing Au antigen. The RIA was more sensitive in detecting Au antigen contained in human sera.
